College of Science and Technology

 

 

The College of Science and Technology (CST) building complex, located in Tudun Wada area of Kaduna metropolis, was donated by the British Government and officially commissioned on 21st November 1968 by the then British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Sir David Hunt. The College initially had five (5) departments, but by 1990, departments within the College had grown to fourteen (14). The large size of the College, in terms of infrastructure and students population necessitated the creation of the College of Engineering out of the College of Science and Technology.

The College aims primarily to produce graduates with positive orientation in science and technological development through the following departments:
1. Department of Applied Science
2. Department of Catering and Hotel Management
3. Department of Education (Technical)
4. Department of Food Technology
5. Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science
6. Department of Printing Technology
7. Department of Textile Technology and Fashion Design

On completion of courses, students could graduate with Higher National Diploma (HND), National Diploma (ND), Pre-National Diploma, Advanced Certificate and Intermediate Certificate.
